More new things...

I went to my univeristy today for the first time... quite a cool place...

But i'm jumping ahead. Lets start from the beginning... the weather... i thought the weather back in malaysia was funky but this place takes it to a whole new level... woke up at 7 this morning... rain clouds... so i decided not to go for a jog and went back to sleep.... woke up at 8... BRIGHT sun... bloody hell wei... and then... and about 11 it starts to rain... and then it rained the whole freakin day... lol... and after the heat i experienced yesterday it was completely unexpected... but its all good...

Moving on to the buses and trains... pretty darn efficient... and the suburb i live in is quite scenic so it was quite nice. Then came the trains... they're freakin double decker trains wei... i know its silly to get excited about things like this but hey... this is my blog... but it was so cool... my mum, sis and i sat on the upper deck... then came the next surprise...

We reached our destination... Redfern station. And honestly i felt like i was in the slums... factiories... abandoned building, graffitti, no trees... quite a shocker... but this wasn't sydney city... just another one of the poorer suburbs... walked to my uni which was further in and in a better area...

I have to admit i liked what i saw in the inner parts of the uni campus... OLD buildings... some of them over a 100 years old... so cool... anyways, enquired about my course. Apparently i have to go there on the 25th to enrol... and my orientation is on the 28th and 29th. At least its not that far off...

Oh... and apparently tomorrow i'm going to a Shivan temple tomorrow... a very powerful one apparently... no disrespect to god and all that but i'd very much prefer it if i prayed at home... but oh well... no harm in seeing it i guess... and i have plans to go down and check out darling harbour..i think thats how u spell it... not tomorrow... but one of these days...

My room has officially been set up... everything unpacked and stored wherever i like... cool... and my photo of sowmie and i is placed on a shelf near the foot of my bed... at least i have something nice to look at when i wake up... anyways, thats all for now.

First day.

Who would have thought flights to other countries would suck so much??
But it was a necessary thing in order to get aaaaalll the way from m'sia to my new home in sydney australia.

But wait.... let me emo about the flight a bit more before i move on. I met this dude named Stephan, who was going to australia for a 2 month backpacking holiday.

Cool dude... he's an architect from holland... he's been to most countries in europe so he was giving me advice on how to go about planning a euro trip... but other than that the flight was bad... couldn't sleep, food sucked...

Now we get to the nice part.... touched down in sydney at 9.20am aussie time and reached my new home at about 11. I mist say i really like it... simple 2 bedroom apartment... one kitchen... one dining room and one hall... 2 bathrooms... god i love my room... and my bathroom...

Oh... and even though i was really excited about my new home... i missed my darling so much that i immediately borrowed my sis's phone and called her just to hear her voice for a few minutes... can't wait till i get my hp and new number so i can call her again...

After that my uncle to my sis, mum and i shopping to go pick up so basic stuff like soap etc... GOOD GOD! the food here is sooooo cool... a regular kebab seemed extra freakin large! and it tasted fantastic... i could get used to this.... oh well... i'm about to go out for dinner now... goin to some chinese restaurant... who would have thought? i come all the way to this country only to eat chinese food on my first night.... oh well... hope its good...
